The untold storis of disasters
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Hello, i'm back again.
usually I am very busy so don't expect me to blog everyday. I just thought to tell you so you are not disappointed when I can't blog.

The disasters that happen all over the world are numerous. But the ones that usually get media coverage are the ones involving a lot of money. For example, the hurricane Katrina made $81.2 billion dollars of damage; while in 2004, the medicins sans frontiers( doctors wothout borders) had campained in Canada to raise money for the crisis torn Darfur region of Sudan. they made much less than they had expected.
The stories that are unusual but can be explained also get more media coverage. So stories that should be told, or told in more detail are mostly forgotten, untold stories.

In my social studies 10-1 class is where I heard about TIG.
I also heard the term globalization for basically the first time. We are learning so much about the world. It is so interesting, well to me it is.

Globalization is everywhere. It is in the clothes we wear, the food we eat,and even the television or movies we watch. Have you ever looked where some of the things you buy is from. For example, I had a purple shirt with buttons that was from Cambodia! A tiny little country making one of my shirts. Globalization.
